Work Package 2 - Training and sensitizing activities for media stakeholders and students
The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) – Faculty of Communication and Mass Media has undertaken the organization of two seminars for media stakeholders in Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as two seminars for Media/Communication students in Athens and Thessaloniki. The training activities organized and carried out by EKPA are supported by a team of academics and gender specialists and a corresponding compilation of special research and training material, available in electronic, printed and audio-visual (video) format at the project’s website.
Furthermore, a comprehensive material stemming from project’s activities of this work package is edited in the form of a Best Practice Guide for media stakeholders, containing case stories, language examples and solution suggestions aiming at informing and sensitizing the target group on gender equality-related issues that may arise in public debates and at providing practical advice to eliminate sexist phenomena at the very instant of their occurrence.
